Joakim Soria

Joakim Soria is the closer for the Kansas City Royals.  Soria is right-handed and is considered one of the best closers in all of baseball.  He was named to the All-Star ream in 2008 and 2010.  He has over 120 career saves and a 260 strikeouts.  He throws hard and baffles hitters at the plate.  In 2010, he converted 43 saves out of 46 opportunities. 

Bruce Chen

Bruce Chen is a left-handed pitcher for the Kansas City Royals.  Although he's of Chinese descent, he was born in Panama City, Panama.  Chen has played with 9 teams previously to joining the Kansas City Royals in 2009.  In the 2010 season, Chen went 12-7 with a 4.17 ERA.  He was a pleasant surpise to the organization and was rewarded with a 1 year contract for the 2011 season. 

Luke Hochevar

Luke Hochevar is a right-handed starting pitcher for the Kansas City Royals.  Hochevar was drafted 1st overall in the 2006 MLB Draft.  Hochevar made his major league debut September 8, 2007 in a game against the New York Yankees.  In 2008, he went 6-12 and in 2009 he went 7-13.  In the 2010 season, Luke Hochevar went 6-6 and showed significant improvement.  The Kansas City Royals are counting on Hochevar to continue his improvement and lead the Royals staff.
